The new Ellis Aquatic Vigilance System® (EAVS®) provides end-to-end monitoring of facility activity.
Ellis Aquatic Innovations (EAI), a member of the Ellis & Associates family of aquatic safety and risk management consulting services, announces the launch of its’ Ellis Aquatic Vigilance System® or EAVS®. Combining the knowledge, research and advanced innovations of more than three decades in aquatic safety, EAVS® is the world’s most complete drowning prevention and facility security vigilance system. Water parks, resorts, municipal pools, and aquatic facilities of any size can now offer a higher level of safety and security because the cameras see what a lifeguard can’t.
“I founded Ellis & Associates in 1983 out of a desire to make the aquatic environment safer – to save lives,” said Jeff Ellis, founder and CEO of Ellis & Associates. “Our objective based, performance driven culture of safety and accountability is the gold standard at pools and resorts around the world. But making things better, safer, and more efficient is at the heart of what we do. We saw what the security community was doing with cameras and artificial intelligence and knew we could apply that technology to various aquatic environments.”
EAVS® utilizes high definition “smart” cameras strategically placed to monitor movement on land, on the water, and under water to help identify items before they become a problem. The cameras capture live video and also have analytics that “learn” to identify patterns and behaviors specific to each client facility. Working in conjunction with a control room operator this unique aptitude creates a situation that alerts lifeguards to a potential issue, even those that are out of the active sight of the lifeguards on duty.
“At its’ core, EAVS® is a drowning prevention system; but by no means does it eliminate the need for additional supervision of guests,” said EAI’s Chief Operating Officer, Dr. Larry Newell. “Providing this additional layer of security elevates facility safety, reduces the risk of drowning, provides a valuable tool for training and auditing, and can reduce labor expense.”
Employing analytic high-definition cameras with thermal capability, EAVS® can monitor property and pools day and night, offering perimeter security in addition to aquatic safety. Systems are completely scalable for any size and type of facility, not just those in aquatics. Systems include multiple camera function, pan/tilt/zoom operation, live and recorded monitoring, integrated communication and alerts via Motorola radios, video capture for incident investigation, staff audits, training, and with its newest analytics, COVID-19 health and safety peace of mind.To learn more about EAVS® and EAI’s other cutting-edge technology solutions, contact us at 800-872-8720.
